Read the marks.

25 cards in three suits: 12 meridians, 8 extraordinary vessels and 5 elements, rooted in classical Chinese medicine. Here’s what every card means, and how to read them. 🔮

How to read the deck

Every card carries five things.

A gift (what it brings when it’s flowing), a shadow (what it looks like when it’s stuck, straight from the classical texts), a message, a question to ask yourself, and where it lives on the body.

Receive · Do · Notice

Guidance is an invitation. Answer it:

  1. Receive: read your card out loud
  2. Do: take your next step within 24 hours
  3. Notice: watch for signs, and write them down

One-Card Pull

Shuffle while holding a question, or just a feeling. Pull one card. Read the message, then sit with the question. That’s it.

The Skin Spread

For anyone with a tattoo, or thinking about one:

  1. The Old Mark: what you’ve been carrying
  2. The Living Line: what’s moving through you now
  3. The Mark to Make: what wants to be marked next, on your skin or in your life

The Consultation Spread

For tattooers and clients, pulled together during a consult:

  1. Who it’s for: the person, or the part of you this piece honors
  2. What it carries: the feeling the tattoo should hold
  3. Where it wants to live: the card’s placement points to a channel. Offer it as an option, never a rule

The Artist’s Pull

Tattooers: pull one card before your first client of the day, and let it set your intention. Pull The Maker, and the universe is talking about your craft.
